| − | Kate joined The [[RVC|Royal Veterinary College]] as an undergraduate having already completed a biochemistry BSc at Queen Mary and Westfield College, London. After graduation from the RVC in 1999 Kate worked at the Battersea Dogs and Cats home, and a mixed practice in Bishops Stortford before returning to the RVC in 2001 as a Senior Clinical Training Scholar in Veterinary Clinical Pathology.

| − | Kate has had an interest in respiratory fungal diseases with past research on Pneumocystis. Kate is currently looking at novel diagnostic methods for Aspergillus. Kate also works with a number of other teams at the RVC providing clinical pathology support, including VECTAR and looking for risk factors for canine cancer.
