Extension neoplasia

  • From nearby osteosarcomas and marrow tumours


Metastatic neoplasia

  • Occasionally from lymphosarcoma, carcinoma of prostate and mammary glands - may extend to lumbar vertebrae from regional (dorsolumbar) lymph nodes
