PHYSICAL DISRUPTION
- Displacement:
- Torsion, the uterus is enlarged, e.g. due to pyometra (pregnancy - cow). Sequelae are congestion, oedema, foetal death, uterine rupture.
- Prolapse, seen in cow, ewe, sow and may be post partum, secondary to hypocalcaemia or prolonged dystocia. Sequelae are congestion, oedema, necrosis, shock.
