- Ectopic ureter is the most common ureteral anomaly.
- Most common in females.
- Opens into the bladder neck, urethra or vagina.
- Leads to increased susceptibility to obstruction and infection.
- Agenesis/aplasia - Rare. Often associated with failure in kidney development.
