Simple mathematical models can be created using spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel or the spreadsheet in OpenOffice. However, specialist software, such as that below, or R may be required for more complicated models.
- Berkeley Madonna (Commercial differential equation solver, with a graphical interface if desired) http://www.berkeleymadonna.com/
- WinSAAM (Modelling program enabling the user to explore biological systems using mathematical models) http://www.winsaam.com/#WinSAAM
