Iridoviridae: a family of DNA viruses which comprises three genera:-
- Lymphocystivirus contains lymphocystis disease virus 1 (a disease of fish)
- Megalocytivirus contains the virus of infectious spleen and kidney necrosis of fish
- Ranavirus contains epizootic haematopoietic necrosis virus (in Percidae and Salmonidae), European catfish virus, largemouth bass virus, and a number of viruses of amphibians and reptiles (such as Bohle frog virus abd frog virus 3)
