Dental and Oral Medication
This section is part of Small Animal Dentistry

Medical treatment options are usually only a temporary measure in dentistry and very seldom result in a cure. Medical treatments may enhance the success of surgery, but very rarely used alone. The most common drugs used include antimicrobials (systemic and topical), anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs and steroids), and the occasional very specific drug for example interferon.
