Introduction
WikiVet and CRC Press are collaborating to provide free of charge case excerpts from Veterinary and Nursing textbooks on WikiVet. As part of this, we are offering the opportunity for students to get a free print copy of a textbook in the same series as the text they choose to review, in return for working through the text and selecting excerpts for WikiVet to host as free content.
There are a limited number of opportunities as we only require one student for each book in the Self Assessment Color Review Series, and the Colour Handbook series.

Guidelines for students
Students are required to work through their chosen textbook, selecting 10% of cases from the book, or 15 cases, whichever is more. Students don’t need to complete every case, but they will need to work through a significant proportion of the book in order to select a good range of cases.
The following guidelines apply:
1) The cases should be selected based on the suitability of the learning objectives for undergraduate veterinary students
2) The cases should be a broad representation of the book eg covering the different species, disciplines and systems
3) Cases which are very geographically specific should be avoided
4) Case selection should be completed within 6 weeks of being provided with the digital copy of the book
5) Digital copies will be shared via a Vitalsource app must not be shared
6) The case numbers (for the Self Assessment Color Review Series), or chapter numbers (for the Colour Handbook Series) which have been selected, along with a brief overview of the subject of the case should be recorded in a spreadsheet which will be shared when students are given access to their textbook for review
7) A brief reason for the selection of the case should be included for publication on the page alongside the case itself.
8) Print copies of any other book in the same series will be sent upon final receipt and publication of the selected cases
