Morelia is a genus of Australian pythons that has been under revision. It presently contains five species: the carpet python (M. spilota), amethystine python (M. amethistina), Boelen’s python (M. boeleni), the Oenpelli python (M. oenpelliensis) and the rough scaled python (M. carinata).
