Actinomyces
- Usually long filamentous branching Gram positive rods
- Anaerobic or facultativlyy anaerobic and capnophilic
- Live in nasopharyngeal and oral mucosa
- Cause pyogranulomatous lesions
- Unclassified Actinomyces species isolated from closed cases of Poll Evil and Fistulous Withers
