Haemophilus somnus is a species of the Haemophilus genus.

  • Cattle

Haemophilus sommus is involved in Enzootic pneumonia of calves and causes infectious thromboencephalitis, bronchopneumonia and sporadic reproductive tract infections in cattle 1-3 years old

  • Sheep

Haemophilus sommus is involved in epididymitis in young rams. It also causes vulvitis, mastitis and reduced reproductive performance in ewes and Septicaemia, arthritis, meningitis and pneumonia in lambs.
