Overview
The following breeds have been classified according to those listed by Oklahoma State University as this provides a wide range of international breeds. Clearly far more breeds exist than have been included below although these are not likely to be encountered in Europe. For further information regarding a specific breed please see http://ansi.okstate.edu/breeds/swine/.
A small number of breeds specific to the UK have been included from the British Pig Association. For further information please see http://.
