Infectious agents

- Obstruction to airflow
- Aspiration pneumonia
- Acute inflammation passes through the same stages as in rhinitis
Arytenoid chondropathy
- Progressive inflammatory chondritis of horses
- May be associated with granulomas and discharging tracts
