- Bites may cause irritation, anaemia, toxicity or hypersensitivity
- Grossly:
- Wheals and papules around puncture wound
- Hair loss, scales, crusts, erythema
- Microscopically:
- Superficial perivascular dermatitis
- Eosinophilic folliculitis, +/- furunculosis
- Intraepidermal pustules
- Eosinophils and necrosis
