*Macrocyclic lactones (Ivermectin in Equimax or Eqvalan) 0.2mg/kg
*Regular worming programme that prevents build-up of large ascarid burdens in the foal:
*Tetrahydropyrimidines (Pyrantel pamoate in Strongid) 6.6mg/kg
