A variety of approaches to diagnostic test evaluation are available, one of which involves the use of Receiver Operator Characteristic (ROC) Curves. Some pieces of software for the analysis of these curves is below:
- Metz ROC (ROC software package; includes procedures for: correlated, continuously distributed as well as inherently categorical rating scale data; statistical comparison between two binormal ROC curves; maximum likelihood estimation of binormal ROC curves from set of continuous as well as categorical data ; analysis of statistical power for comparison of ROC curves; Fortran source code is provided) http://metz-roc.uchicago.edu/
- TG-ROC (MS-Excel spreadsheet for ROC analysis) http://jim.mscs.mu.edu/ftp/pub/Greiner/
Some other software for assessment of diagnostic tests is shown below:
- QCEL (Internal laboratory quality control toolkit for ELISAs and other types of laboratory tests. The program uses the Shewart-Cusum technique to track the results of QC samples, allowing early identification of problems that may lead to unreliable results) http://www.ausvet.com.au/content.php?page=software#qcel
