Description
A general term for diseases caused by the tuberculous group of bacteria, the mycobacteria. including Mycobacterium bovis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium avian.
- Grossly:
- Yellowish spherical nodules
- Caseous content
- Fibrous capsule usually
- Histologically:
- Granuloma
- Central necrosis
- Epitheliod and giant cells at periphery
