Female Reproductive System - Pathology
Diseases of the female genital tract may interfere with ovulation, fertilisation of the egg development of the foetus or normal parturition, thus causing infertility or sterility. The function of the female genitalia can also be affected by diseases not primarily of the genitalia, e.g. diseases of the pelvis and spinal cord, abdominal pain and limb lesions can interfere with mating and parturition.
