Hypoplasia
- Underdevelopment of one or both kidneys.
- Undifferentiated mesenchymal tissue exists in the both the cortex and medulla as well as the presence of immature glomeruli in the adult animal.
- If bilateral or diffuse, the kidneys will be overloaded and uraemia will develop within a year or two.
