Introduction

History

William H. Stautzenberger founded Stautzenberger College in 1926; with the goal of making a college education more affordable, thus more attainable to the residents of Toledo and surrounding area. Stautzenberger College started with general skills such as typewriting and accounting and soon began to add more to the curriculum with such courses as drafting and dental assisting.

 In 1960, George R.Hawes became the president of Stautzenberger College and made some wonderful changes. Stautzenberger College began to specialize in 3 main areas: Veterinary Technology, Medical Technology and Information Technology. Students are offered a curriculum that is focused on their career interest with one on one time with the instructors,and hands on training.
 Stautzenberger College offers the areas only AVMA accredited veterinary technician program, with many more accrediations:

Stautzenberger College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award certificates, diplomas, and associate's degrees. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is designated as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The Veterinary Technician Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

The Stautzenberger College Medical Assisting Programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB).


Stautzenberger College is licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools to be authorized to grant the Associate Degree in Applied Business and Applied Science.

Stautzenberger College is a Microsoft IT Academy.

Stautzenberger College is approved by Microsoft to offer the official academic courses which leads to Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designations.

Stautzenberger College is a member of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

Stautzenberger College is approved for the training of veterans.

Stautzenberger College is a member of the Paralegal Association of Northwest Ohio (PANO) and National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).

Stautzenberger College Court Reporting and Broadcast Captioning Programs are certified by the National Court Reporters Association.

Stautzenberger College Practical Nursing program is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
