Lamprophinae are African and Malagasy snakes of the family Colubridae. It is a large ill defined subfamily consisting of fangless and rear-fanged snakes and specialised and generalised feeders. Genera include Lamprophis (house snakes) and Lycophidion (African wolf snake).
