Identification

F subrostratus is yellow, with brown transverse bands,around 1mm in length. It has antennae with three clear segements, and a triangular head, which is important aid in the identification process.

Life Cycle

The adult lays eggs directly on to the hair of the host. The eggs hatch into larvae within several weeks. The larvae the mature into adults, usually within 2-3 weeks.
