Haematopinus suis

Haematopinus suis is a large sucking louse found worldwide in pigs, and is believed to be the vector of African Swine Fever.

- Large 5mm louse which is easily visible on the skin
- Common to the UK
- Overseas it is a vector of African swine fever virus and rickettsiae
