- Causes Mycotic Swamp Fever
- Also called phycomycosis
- Occurs in the USA, Australia, New Guinea, India, Brazil, Colombia, Japan, Costa Rica and Indonesia
- Pythium insidiosum
- Granulomatous infection
- Necrosis and fistulous tracts
- Yellow lesions
- Branching, separated fungi
- Progressive (rather than systemic) disease
- Surgery is needed
