Work began on creating a veterinary school at the University of Surrey back in 2010. The school took in it's first cohort of 48 students in September 2014 when it was still sharing facilites with the rest of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The vet school moved in to new buildings during the Summer of 2015, and have accepted a full year of 123 students on to their Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Science (BVMSci) course.

Surrey Vet school is developing it's research profile and has been working with other teams within the faculty and university, as well as nationally and internationally. Clinical Services

Surrey Vet School will operate a distributed model for its clinical years, whereby the school partner with a large number of local veterinary practices and organisations to send students out on Intramural rotations. These include, but are in no way limited to,
