Acrochordidae

The family Acrochordidae consists of file or wart snakes. The single genus Acrochordus has three species and distribution is from India to Australia and the Solomon Islands. These snakes are highly specialised for tropical waters. All species feed on fish and are viviparous. Captive breeding has not been achieved.
