    • Calcium hydroxyapatite deposition in the axial skeleton and included marked fibrocartilagenous proliferation resulting in compression of the cervical cord
    • 10wk old Gt Dane
    • Ca2+ and Phosphorous serum levels normal
    • May get skeletal malformations secondary to the deposition of the mineral in the joint (starts on the articular facets of cervical vertebrae)
    • In humans, associated with point mutation in type II procollagen gene
    • ?Underlying cause
