Nodular Skin disease - Donkey

Most skin nodules in donkeys are sarcoids. A few are the result of a localised inflammatory response to insect bites, but this occurs much less frequently than in horses. Other nodular diseases include melanoma and scarring. Transient nodules are a feature of urticaria.
