What is the probable nature of these lesions? | The photograph shows the gross appearance of a goldfish with raised nodules on the back of the neck and cornea. These are papillomas, small benign tumors of epithelial cell origin, which are common in many species of freshwater and marine fish. |

What is the prognosis? | They are often multiple and have a predilection for the head region. They generally,cause few clinical problems but are disfiguring. Surgical removal is an option. |
