The BVM course takes five years while the other undergraduate programmes take four years. The Certificate Courses take one year while the Diploma courses take three years. The Post graduate courses take a minimum of two years.

The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine programme has six departments namely;the Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology,the Department of Veterinary Pathology,Microbiology and Parasitology,the Department of Animal Production,the Department of Clinical Studies, the Department of Public Health, Pharmacology and Toxicology and the Vet Farm

The Faculty runs a Small Animal Clinic and a Large Animal clinic with 24 hour services offered by Clinicians who are part of the Faculty. There are also ambulatory services that serve clients in the Campus vicinity. Students in their fourth and fifth year of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine programme participate in the Clinic work and also the ambulatory services which are mainly carried out by Final Year Undergraduate students.
