IBD can affect any part of the intestines and it is classified according to the predominant cellular inflammatory infiltration. Three types have been recognised, they are:
*Lymphoplasmacellular enteritis(most common)
*Eosinophilic enteritis
*Ulcerative colitis (rare disorder found in Boxers)
