The most significant primary tumours in the dog are hepatomas, [[Liver Proliferative - Pathology #Hepatocytic|Hepatocellular]] and [[Liver Proliferative - Pathology #Cholangiocellular|Cholangiocellular]]carcinomas and hepatic carcinoids. [[Liver Proliferative - Pathology #Hepatocytic|Hepatocellular carcinoma]] and  [[Liver Proliferative - Pathology #Cholangiocellular|Cholangiocellular carcinoma]] are the most significant in cats.
