All circulating blood cells are nucleated and it is not unusual to see mitotic figures in the peripheral circulation. The blood cells include erythrocytes, thrombocytes, heterophils, eosinophils, [[Basophils - Reptile|basophils]], [[Azurophils|azurophils]], [[Monocytes|monocytes]] and lymphocytes.
