The pharynx is part of both the [[Cardiorespiratory System - Anatomy & Physiology|respiratory]] and [[Alimentary System Overview - Anatomy & Physiology|digestive]] system. Both systems have entrances to the pharynx but they are separated from each other by the [[Soft Palate - Anatomy & Physiology|soft palate]].
