[[Immune Mediated Thrombocytopaenia|Immune-mediated thrombocytopaenia]] (ITP) is one common cause of thrombocytopaenia and this may be a primary or secondary disease. '''Thrombocytosis''' refers to an increase in the blood platelet concentration above the normal level.
