The skin can be affected by many viruses. Herpesviruses, poxviruses, cutaneous lesions are seen with picornaviruses (foot-and-mouth disease, swine vesicular disease), rhabdoviruses (vesicular stomatitis), caliciviruses (vesicular exanthema) and retroviruses (FeLV, FIV).
