  • Respond rapidly to iv glucose

  • Dogs 5-12 years of age most commonly affected
  • Older cattle, associated with periodic convulsions

Clinical signs

  • Hyperinsulinism
  • Hypoglycaemia - often episodic
    • Neurologic signs - stupor, confusion, coma, seizures, peripheral neuropathy may also develop
