Psoroptes is an oval shaped, astigmatic, non-burrowing mite, causing psoroptic mange in cattle, sheep, horses and rabbits.

Predilection site

Skin; particularly on legs, feet, and the base of the tail.

Psoroptes is an oval shaped, with legs longer than those seen in burrowing mites. Males have a pair of copulatory suckers.
