  • A benign solitary smooth muscle tumour, forming nodular masses.
  • Found mainly in dogs.
    • Often seen as incidental findings at necropsy of older dogs.
  • Can occur in any site in the stomach.
  • If a leiomyoma occurs near the pylorus, an obstructive lesion may be created causing clinical disease.
