Description
A general term for diseases caused by the tuberculous group of bacteria, Mycobacterium species, including Mycobacterium bovis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis,Mycobacterium avium.

- Yellowish spherical nodules
- Caseous content
- Fibrous capsule usually
- Histologically:
- Granuloma
- Central necrosis
- Epitheliod and giant cells at periphery
