Introduction
Cementoblasts are cells in the enamel organ which forms the tooth. They secrete cementum.
Properties
- Epithelial cells near the distal end of the cup
- Become follicle cells
- Synthesise cementum which mostly contains collagen I
- Cementum is acellular and not readily absorbed.
