Sinus disease is found as in the horse, with empyema, fungal infection, sinus cysts and tumours being recorded. Dental disease is a frequent cause of sinus infections especially in older animals. Neglected dental disease may also cause soft palate penetration and nasal discharge of food-containing matter.
