Triaditis

Triaditis is a condition of cats involving the liver, pancreas, biliary tract and intestine. It can occur due to the accessory pancreatic duct being very small or absent in the cat and the pancreatic duct joining with the common bile duct to enter the intestine at the sphincter of Oddi. It is thus very easy for infection and inflammation to spread into all three organs. Please see pancreatitis, cholangiohepatitis (cholangitis and hepatitis) and inflammatory bowel disease separately for description.
