The theme for the workshop was 'how WikiVet can be integrated into Teaching and Learning more effectively'. The workshop was run by Nick Short, Chris Trace and Octavio Lopez Albors.

The workshop was attended by academic staff from several UK and international Vet schools. It started with a brief presentation from Nick about WikiVet and how it's got to where it is now. This was followed by a brief tour of the site by Chris, who then went on to summarise some of the thoughts from the student focus group that had happened the previous day. This was followed by a presentation from Octavio where he demonstrated the integration of Dragster activities into curriculi at the RVC and at Murcia. This presentation can be viewed online at Slideshare.

The group went on then to discuss ways in which they could ensure WikiVet was utilised better. One of the key issues from the Student focus group was that students did not always know that good content was there. It was proposed that it would be beneficial to create links from each institutions Virtual Learning Environments to specific content. This would then help students find the content they need. To simplify this process, it was decided that there should be a review of vet school's lectures and learning objectives, to see where there is often duplication. This would then enable the creation of links which each institution could use in their own VLE.

A discussion board has been created in WikiVet's group in NOVICE to establish the best way to go about creating a database of links to content. If you would like to be involved in the sharing of these links and/or compare your curriculum with other institutions, please email the WikiVet team
