  • Hypocalcemia
    • For example, due to:
      • Parturition
      • Hypothyroidism
  • Glycine disorders, in:
    • Humans
      • Knowns as startle disease or hyperexplexia.
      • Causes sudden contraction of primarily antigravity muscles
    • Arabian horses
