The Faculty of Animal Science & Veterinary Medicine under Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University is a new faculty to make complete livestock graduates who have both hand, treatment and production. Shah-e-Alam, Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque Beg and many others came to a decision to return combined degree. Then the Department of Animal Husbandry of the Faculty of Agriculture was converted to the Faculty of Animal Science & Veterinary Medicine. Chairman of the department '''Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque Beg''' became the first dean of the faculty. In ''03rd January of 2012'', honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shah-e-Alam inaugurated the faculty.

The faculty offers Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.Sc. in Vet. Sci. & A. H.). Every year 75 students can admit into the faculty.Masters of Science will be started soon.
