This is an uncommon problem but may be seen in neonatal to juvenile iguanas. There is no definitive aetiology but it may be associated with malnutrition or metabolic bone disease.
- Diagnosis - history taking, physical examination, radiology and necropsy (the gastrointestinal tract is grossly distended with gas).
- Treatment - Supportive care but largely unsuccessful.
