Felicola subrostratus is a chewing louse of cats.
Identification
F. subrostratus is yellow, with brown transverse bands, around 1mm in length. It has antennae with three clear segments, and a triangular head, which is important aid in the identification process.
Life Cycle
The adult lays eggs directly onto the hair of the host. The eggs hatch into larvae within several weeks. The larvae the mature into adults, usually within 2-3 weeks.
