SETARIA SPECIES
General
- Filarial nematode (<12cm long).
- Peritoneal (and pleural) cavity.
- Non-pathogenic, unless eratic migration to CNS.
Life-Cycle
- Indirect LC; many species of mosquito act as intermediate hosts.
- Prepatent period = 8-10months.
