Description
Signalment
Inapproapriate diet and dental problems predispose to faecoliths. Miniture horses are most commonly affected.
Diagnosis
Clincal signs
Treatment
Surgical removal is carried out under general anaesthesia. The faecolith is removed by a pelvic flexure enterotomy.
